Miracles of modern technology

I was over on the okc.gov website today, reading the faq about the new digital parking meters. With these new meters, you can pay with coin, credit card, and cell phone (after setting up an account.) This seems pretty cool to me. The following is an excerpt from the faq...

Q: Why should I pay by cell phone?

A: You don’t have to worry about having correct change for payment. When your remaining time is down to 10 minutes, the meter can send your cell phone a text message letting you know it’s about to expire. If you haven’t used up the maximum allowable minutes on the meter, you can add time via your cell phone without going back to the meter. And you’ll have a detailed list of charges and locations on your credit card.

You must still follow the rules about maximum allowable minutes.

Now how cool is that?
